I recently had my first live recording and it was a blast. As you can imagine there were some hiccups right before the event and one of those was the fact that I lost my voice five days before the recording. We had been preparing for this day for six months, three of those months in active rehearsal and I couldn’t even sing during the final rehearsal. This was due to the fact that the week before I had multiple rehearsals and three major ministry engagements back to back- we didn’t plan it this way but this is what happened. With only days before one of the biggest moments in my singing career I knew I had to act fast.
I am a proud nerd and I immediately took to researching ways to heal my vocal cords.
Hey you! I’m so excited about today’s post because it I love discovering natural ways to cure age old problems. Let’s face it, there are chemicals infused in everything nowadays and to put it frankly, “I’m over it!” So after dealing with an illness for the last four weeks that included a horrible cough, I ended up in the doctor’s office with a loved one yesterday. I was shocked…SHOCKED AND APPALLED I tell you to discover that a few teaspoons of honey helps soothe a cough. So, I know that was pretty dramatic, but it’s really how I felt when the doctor chose to, “prescribe,” honey as needed instead of a strong cough medicine.
